Honor and Ones Hometown

I think the reason I blog is because I don’t want people I know well to read my thoughts. After all, my wife may find them selfish, my family of origin probably thinks I remember things incorrectly. Friends potentially get offended which is why I relegate most my social media updates away from my Facebook profile. I really can’t think of anyone I know that I would want to read my blog, so I don’t advertise to them. Conversely, the challenge I thrive on with blogging is to entertain people I don’t know. I’d like a person who knows nothing about me and vice versa to read my blog. That keeps everything fresh for me and I don’t get caught up in framing my audience.

I suppose ideally I’d want a fellow blogger to read my blog. They get the challenge and have less judgment than family or friends. I think most people we hold close think they can do a blog better than we bloggers. It’s that old often-heard bible verse, “A prophet is without honor in his home town.” I’m not sure of the exact wording. I’m no prophet but if anyone knows that best, it’s the folks close to me. In conclusion, I’d really like a blogger to read my blog every day. The more the merrier though, all are weclome.

Professor/Tutor/Dad/Husband/Son. My favorite horror movie is probably going to be a toss up between Tusk and Insidious. Atmospheric Horror is my favorite subgenre. I also post news articles on politics and the occasional blog post on things other than horror movies.
