As an artist, if you want recognition, start by recognizing others. If you love what you do, this won’t be a problem, shifting focus off your own art for a while. No one will come along to show you how to be successful. If you aren’t enjoying your art, you’ve got no one to blame but yourself. Even the business world knows you have the best marketing strategy on Earth right before your eyes: your friends’ lists, blogrolls, Twitter accounts, and the like. Tap into it by recognizing others. We create art alone but we need a receiver, without that it’s not art. We’re all in this together. Recognize the greatness around you today.
