Ready or Not (2019)

This got so much praise. I did enjoy it but in that it was a comedy. It had some great gore! As a serious horror it doesn’t work for me but that’s ok, that’s not what it’s trying to be. Anyway, have a listen to what I think on this episode of my podcast. 6/10

I enjoyed this one a lot; sounds like more than you did. I really enjoyed the comedy angle (but of course you know how I like my comedies). The family history didn’t bother me that much but I would have appreciated a little more explanation about the why. Samara Weaving’s Grace reminded me of Sharni Vinson’s Erin from You’re Next. She is much more than a pretty face, capable of taking care of herself and taking down those who are trying to kill her. Her transformation as the film went on was exciting to watch. And you’re right, that last line was gold. 😂 Great review!
